How much time do you waste creating Excel formulas?

Having built hundreds of dashboards, one of the most time consuming stages of developing Xcelsius dashboards is the re-creation of Excel logic. This begged the question and the title for this post, "how much time do you waste creating Excel formulas"? Furthermore, what does that time cost your company / customer in development and maintenance?

When we started building components for SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards sorting, data filtering, and aggregation were at the top of the pain-point list. For experienced Xcelsius and Excel developers, the complexity and sophistication of dashboard logic to create very basic functionality was out of control, and something we fixed years ago with Filtered Summary and Dynamic Sort.
